Network
Installation and Support:
Paying for our
time to set up your network doesn't mean it has to be on your time.
Our approach to network integration is to perform the majority of the
work in our own integration center -- not in your busy office.
This kind of
network installation requires a staff of systems integrators
dedicated to working long hours on nights and weekends to minimize
the time your office is without computers. It will amaze you to be
operating on standalone systems or an outdated network on Thursday,
and by Tuesday your entire firm is functional and efficiently sharing
information. Of course, some fine tuning and adjustments will have to
be made to fully implement the new network, but it's performed with
as little disruption to your staff as possible.
Although ABCon
is experienced with installing and supporting several types of
networks, our network operating system of choice is steadily becoming
the Microsoft Windows Family of Networking platforms including NT, NT
SBS, and Windows 2000 Server. We find it robust with features such as
remote access, ease of use and administration, and cross-platform support.
For organizations
with established networks requiring the immediate response and
support once promised by other vendors, ABCon offers LAN
Support ValuPaks.
These are 10-hour blocks of time a client purchases in advance to
retain our services. The client will then be given our highest
priority when a network crisis is reported. Response time is less
than two hours. For customers setup with remote access support,
response time is immediate.
Group
Communications Systems:
With increasing
demands for time and resources placed upon individuals and
organizations, the development of groupware has become very dominant
in the network environment. In every organization, there is an
inherent need for individuals to share information without the
traditional complexities of navigating through a maze of network
servers while jumping around multiple applications.
Microsoft Exchange
is a a powerful and intuitive solution for groupware. In addition to
an excellent e-mail system, Microsoft Exchange allows organizations
several indispensable features:
-
Group Scheduling -
schedule group meetings, rooms, and resources.
-
Bulletin Boards -
Share information easily and provide forums for brainstorming.
-
Customer Tracking
- Track account information, contacts, and communications with easy access.
-
Public Folders -
Share information with individuals inside or outside of an organization.
-
Off-line folder
synchronization - Bidirectionally synchronize folders remotely.
Intranets:
You may have heard
of intranets in relation to all that has been in the media about the internet.
An intranet is much the same but serves web
pages
over local network connections. While Microsoft Exchange is well
suited for most organizations looking at intranet solutions, there
are some cases where you would want the flexibility that an internal
web server provides:
-
Display a large
number of graphics (blueprints, designs, logos, photo collections)
for reference.
-
Use special
features like chat conferencing, animations or live video feeds.
-
Have employees
easily access the same information your company already serves to the internet.
